Berling Fixateur acrylic primer is a clear, solvent-based product for masonry and concrete or bitumen-coated roofs. It penetrates plaster, reduces its absorbency and stabilizes friable surfaces, such as those painted with glue-based paint or limewash. It is intended for use before applying emulsion, acrylic and waterproofing paints to improve their adhesion.
The surface must be dry and free of dust, grease, salts and peeling paint. Apply the primer with a brush or roller, diluted with White Spirit at a 1:1 ratio for walls. On old surfaces with chalking, peeling paint or limewash, sand first with sandpaper. On bitumen-coated or painted roofs, fill cracks and joints first. Clean tools with White Spirit.
