The transparent Vitex Wooden Floor Protection primer prepares and fills wooden floors before the application of a finishing varnish. It is water-based, single-component and formulated with acrylic resin. It helps waterproof and harden the wood, while being easy to apply and sand, leaving a smooth surface.
Apply in two coats using a brush or roller, diluted with 5% water. The surface must be dry and free of dust, wax and oil, while old floors need to be sanded thoroughly. It is touch-dry in 1–2 hours and can be recoated after 4–6 hours, once sanded. After it has dried completely, sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper, then apply two coats of water-based floor varnish. Do not apply at temperatures below 5 °C or above 35 °C, or at relative humidity above 80%. Clean tools immediately after use with water and, if necessary, soap or detergent.
