Description

After receiving praise from the international academic community, F. Shu's book now aims to fill an important gap in the Greek literature in the field of Astronomy.

The book addresses the astronomical Universe through the lens of modern Physics. The main emphasis is placed on helping the reader realize the fundamental unity of this Universe through the observation that the spectacle of astronomical objects stems from a few basic principles of Physics.

The ultimate goal is the synthesis of the evolutionary scenario that led from the Big Bang to the creation of stars, planets, and life itself.

Written to be taught to students of the humanities as well as those of the natural sciences, the book also aims to bridge the artificial gap between the two categories of sciences.
