Berling red oxide anti-corrosion primer is used as a base coat beneath enamel paints on metal surfaces. Its thixotropic consistency helps prevent sagging and dripping when applied to vertical surfaces, such as railings and tubular structures. It is suitable for priming metal structures and for spot repairs where rust has appeared.
Before application, the surface must be dry, clean and free of rust, oil and loose remnants of old paint. Remove rust by sanding or using a wire brush.
