The publication of the fourth volume completes the Catalogue of Sculptures of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, issued by the Educational Foundation of the National Bank over the last three decades (1997-2020), curated by G. Despinis, Th. Stefanidou-Tiveriou, and Emm. Voutyras.

This collective work was the result of a major research program at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, conducted with the support of the director of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki during the 1990s, Julia Vokotopoulou. University professors, scientific staff from the Aristotle University, and archaeologists serving at the Archaeological Museum and the Thessaloniki Inspectorate of Antiquities collaborated to implement it.

The aim of the work was to study in depth the sculptures that had been included in the Museum's collection from the time of its establishment until 1990.
