"Introduction to the Interpretation of Dreams" is a representative summary of the author's views on what we call "Symbolic Life." A term or image is symbolic when it means something more than what it signifies or expresses.
It has a broader unconscious aspect, a side that can never be precisely defined or fully interpreted. Dreams, whether arising from some emotional disturbance or possessing predictive character, consist of such symbolic images.
Through these images, it is possible to trace the sensitive points of the individual soul and interpret them in such a way that the behavior of the individual, their relationships with the environment, and the unconscious tendencies that guide their destiny can be understood.
