    It is indeed caught in the Mediterranean (from the FAO codes listed on the label). It is in thick pieces and not scraps. It does not have at all that strong smell that tuna found in a can has and has a much better taste.

    No relationship with supermarket canned products. You can tell it's more fishy and has a different taste. The Pacific has issues from what I read and most tunas are caught there except for one that is caught in Ecuador. The island tuna is caught in clean seas and surely its price will be higher, but so is its quality
