It is sharp and piercing, requires prolonged pressing, so sometimes you don't close it, for example, you press one second longer, it squeaks extra with an even sharper intermittent sound. It has other noises during use, maybe even useful, time will tell. If you are not bothered by the sharp sound and you don't care that every time you open it, not only the family but also the neighborhood learns about it... it is probably a good machine.
