The board game The Isle of Cats is a competitive tile-placement game featuring cards and cats, for 1–4 players. Players embark on a rescue mission to the Isle of Cats, where they try to save as many cats as possible before Lord Vesh arrives. Each cat is represented by a unique tile and belongs to a family, and players must fit them onto their boat while keeping families together.

Over the course of five rounds, players explore the island by drafting cards, rescuing cats, finding treasures, earning the friendship of Oshax, and studying ancient lessons. Each lesson offers a different way to score points, and there are 38 unique lessons. The player with the most points after the fifth round wins.

    The "late arrivals" expansion allows you to play with up to 6 players while adding even more variety in cards and cats.

    So far, I have played it with 4 players and each game took us about 2 hours. It is slightly time-consuming but very enjoyable.

    In my opinion, it is perfect for a gift!
