I conducted the first interview with Vasilikos in December 1966, shortly after the publication by the Foundation of Z, right when the Lambrakis affair was boiling, which shook the entire nation. And I was initially impressed by his ease of expression, his lack of inhibitions, and his ability not to torment his interlocutor by correcting (as often happens with many) what they say.

Since then, the interviews that the reader will find in this book followed (the last one, in January 1996), with a Vasilikos who is not content with his own work but expresses directly, boldly, and openly, at times prophetically, his views on what is happening around us.
