Social sciences programs are based on the child, their development as an individual, as well as a member of a family, a cultural group, a classroom, a community, and ultimately, a member of a broader society, a world.

Through these programs, the kindergarten child is supported in understanding themselves, strengthening their social relationships with other classmates in the class and school, and acquiring knowledge, skills, and values that are essential for participating in a democratic way of life.

Social sciences programs require the active participation of the child and are developmentally progressive. They encourage exploration and discovery of various topics, which motivate the child to act and think about social issues.
