The TopMan sharpening stone is a synthetic Japanese water stone for finishing knives, wood chisels, and plane blades. It has a grit rating of 8000 and is mounted on a hard plastic base with rubber feet to prevent slipping during sharpening. Using water instead of oil helps prevent metal particles from clogging its surface.

Before use, soak it in water for 3 minutes and keep it wet by spraying it during sharpening. The included Nagura stone should also be soaked in water and used in circular motions to restore the surface of the sharpening stone.
