Amazingly readable and highly intriguing, just as a proper mystery book should be... I recommend it without a second thought.

The first thing I read from this author and I recommend it to everyone. The truth is that at the beginning it doesn't have much suspense and it doesn't keep you hooked, and that's why I give it 4 stars. However, from the moment the murder happens, things completely change and the story continues with a lot of suspense, action, and twists, and the ending is quite touching.

Okay, the first thing I read from Agatha Christie
    is truly the best.
It's quite big, 368 pages, but it's worth it

Description & Specifications

Ultimately, the mismatched events are the most significant. The idyllic atmosphere of a cruise on the Nile is chillingly shattered when Lynette Ridgeway is found shot in the head.

She was young, beautiful, a girl who had everything – until she lost her life. Hercule Poirot instantly recalls an outburst from a fellow passenger earlier: "I want to stick my favorite gun to her head and just pull the trigger." But is it really possible for the solution to the mystery to be that simple?

The most exotic novel by Agatha Christie and one of the most thrilling works she ever wrote, which is now being adapted back into film with Kenneth Branagh as director and star.

Ultimately, the events that don't fit are the most important.

The idyllic atmosphere of a cruise on the Nile is chillingly shattered when Linnet Ridgeway is found shot in the head. She was young, beautiful, a girl who had everything – until she lost her life.

Hercule Poirot immediately recalls the outburst of a fellow passenger earlier: "I want to stick my favorite little pistol to her head and just pull the trigger." But could the solution to the mystery be that simple?

Agatha Christie's most exotic novel and one of the most thrilling works she ever wrote, now being adapted again for the big screen with Kenneth Branagh as director and star.

Read an excerpt

"My dear, I believe it will be divine!" said the esteemed Joanna Southwood, who was sitting in Linnet Ridgeway's bedroom at Wode Hall. Through the window, the gardens, the fields, and farther away the bluish shadows of the dense forest could be seen. "It's perfect, don't you think?" said Linnet, leaning against the windowsill. Her face was shining with excitement, vitality, and energy. Next to her, Joanna Southwood seemed rather dull; a tall, slender twenty-seven-year-old woman with a long, intelligent face and poorly shaped eyebrows. "And you've made so much progress in such a short time! Did you bring in many architects?" "Three." "What are architects really like? I don't think I've ever seen one up close." "They were fine. Although at times they gave me the impression that they didn't have a shred of practical sense." "My dear, I bet you sorted that out right away! You are the most practical creature in the world!" Joanna picked up a pearl necklace that was on the bedside table.
