It is considered an anxiolytic, tonic, antipyretic, antiseptic, emmenagogue, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic. It is recommended as a tonic for dyspepsia, gastralgia, gastritis, and partial liver failure. It helps with gynecological issues, metrorrhagia, and leucorrhea. It is a good antipyretic and expectorant in cases of colds, dyspnea, upper respiratory tract inflammations, and cough.
It is used as a decoction or infusion and as a cholagogue. Preparation: Add 1 teaspoon for 7-10 minutes, strain, and drink. In any case, it should be taken in small doses and for a limited period of time. The duration of treatment with mugwort should not exceed 2 weeks.
Applications:
- The dried flowers, in decoction, three cups a day, for diuresis, kidney colic, amenorrhea, stomach disturbances, and fever.
- For dropsy, 18-30 grams of powder from dried mugwort in one liter of water, one glass a day.
- A handful of leaves in one liter of white wine for two weeks produces a drink capable of stimulating appetite.
- The same drink after meals is found to be stomach-friendly, while in the morning, before breakfast, it is effective for those suffering from intestinal worms.
- For cancer, all the above recipes are given along with iron supplements 2-3 times a day.
Usage method: Pour a cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dry herb and let it steep for 10-15 minutes. The drink is taken three times a day.
