Description

The post-apocalyptic epic from the master of horror literature. King's prophetic vision of a world ravaged by a deadly epidemic and at the mercy of the eternal battle between good and evil. A man escapes from a biological testing facility and transmits a mutated strain of the flu, which wipes out ninety-nine percent of humanity within a matter of weeks.

Those who survive are terrified and bewildered, and in need of a leader. Two candidates emerge – Mother Abagail, a kind-hearted 108-year-old woman who encourages them to create a community in Boulder, Colorado, and Randall Flagg, the sinister "dark man" who seeks chaos and violence. In the struggle between the two for power, the survivors are called to choose the right leader – and ultimately, to determine the fate of humanity.

Complete unedited edition.

Must read book. My favorite. Amazing story, as you read it you live inside its reality. It didn't tire me at all, the development of each character was incredibly well targeted, you will feel like you know them all. It combines horror, faith, along with so many elements we see daily in society. Whatever I say is not enough, I recommend it 100% as long as you are okay with the length.

Personally, it tired me a bit as it had some pointless things in it, but as a book, it was very good and with incredible writing.

A few days ago I finished it and I declare that it is a literary gem. Don't be intimidated by the size of the book, just immerse yourself in its fantastic world, which metaphorically in its supernatural aspect and literally thanks to its prophetic and timely plot, is not different from our present reality. In Stephen King we trust!

Well, I know that most of you will avoid it because of its size, but I assure you that it will not tire you at all. One of the best descriptions puts you inside the world of the crow and you have everything in your head measured. Definitely, the strongest element is the characters, which you will truly love, especially the Villain Sir Randall Flagg, one of the most captivating villains that have ever existed. The ending could have been more flexible and longer, I believe, as it was squeezed into a few pages, but as a screenplay, it was a MASTERPIECE. 10/10 book by KING.
