High-quality tweeter from the great Danish brand Scanspeak, which is used in many hi-end speakers. Personally, I bought a pair to replace the 25+ year old ones that my ATC SCM20-SL had. I wanted to refresh my speakers because after so many years, their performance surely diminishes. (Note: ATC now uses their new in-house tweeters in their speakers, which never "dry out" or deteriorate but cost 10 times more).
During installation, I struggled a bit because I had to change the plastic faceplate with 4 holes that this model has, with the original die-cast one with 3 holes that my speaker had. The cables clip on effortlessly, just be mindful of the polarity! Also, be very careful when screwing/unscrewing with the Allen wrenches, they are quite heavy and the magnetic field of the tweeter is large! Watch out for your eyes, don't let the fabric dome get damaged.
Once mounted and playing, the speaker sounds truly airy, with a fresh and natural treble. No harshness or exaggeration. I believe that after several hours of breaking in, they will sound even better. I hope they last as long as the previous ones. But with such an affordable price - let's be honest - I will replace them more often. They are worth their money.

Ήθελα να φρεσκάρω τα ηχεία μου γιατί μετά τόσα χρόνια σίγουρα η απόδοσή τους φθίνει. (Σημ.: η ATC πλέον βάζει στα ηχεία της τα νέα in-house tweeters, που δεν "στεγνώνουν" ή παλιώνουν ποτέ αλλά κοστίζουν 10 φορές παραπάνω).
Κατά την εγκατάσταση ταλαιπωρήθηκα λίγο γιατί έπρεπε ν' αλλάξω το πλαστικό faceplate με 4 τρύπες που έχει το μοντέλο αυτό με το original die-cast με 3 τρύπες που είχε ηχείο μου. Τα καλώδια κουμπώνουν με κλιπ απροβλημάτιστα, το νου σας μόνο στην πολικότητα! Επίσης πολύ προσοχή κατά το βίδωμα/ξεβίδωμα με τα allen, είναι αρκετά βαρύ και το μαγνητικό πεδίο του tweeter είναι μεγάλο! Τα μάτια σας 14, μην πάθει τίποτα ο υφασμάτινος θόλος.
Αφού μονταριστεί και παίξει το ηχείο, ακούς πραγματικά αέρινα πρίμα, όλο φρεσκάδα και φυσικότητα. Καθόλου συριστικά ή τονισμένα. Πιστεύω ότι μετά από αρκετές ώρες στρώσιμο θα παίζουν ακόμα καλύτερα. Ελπίζω ν' αντέξουν πολλά χρόνια όπως τα προηγούμενα. Αλλά με τόσο προσιτή τιμή -να είμαστε καλά- θα τα ανανεώνω πιο συχνά. Αξίζουν τα λεφτά τους.
