High-quality tweeter from the great Danish brand Scanspeak, which is used in many hi-end speakers. Personally, I bought a pair to replace the 25+ year old ones that my ATC SCM20-SL had. I wanted to refresh my speakers because after so many years, their performance surely diminishes. (Note: ATC now uses their new in-house tweeters in their speakers, which never "dry out" or deteriorate but cost 10 times more).
During installation, I struggled a bit because I had to change the plastic faceplate with 4 holes that this model has, with the original die-cast one with 3 holes that my speaker had. The cables clip on effortlessly, just be mindful of the polarity! Also, be very careful when screwing/unscrewing with the Allen wrenches, they are quite heavy and the magnetic field of the tweeter is large! Watch out for your eyes, don't let the fabric dome get damaged.
Once mounted and playing, the speaker sounds truly airy, with a fresh and natural treble. No harshness or exaggeration. I believe that after several hours of breaking in, they will sound even better. I hope they last as long as the previous ones. But with such an affordable price - let's be honest - I will replace them more often. They are worth their money.
