But Xiaomi (certainly for financial reasons) does not allow you to use it on another smart home platform / HUB other than its own, like Google Home or Amazon Alexa, which would be very useful for automating with other devices that do not connect to Xiaomi (e.g., if the humidity is lower than 40%, it should automatically turn on the humidifier).

    I have 7 pieces. Tremendous quality and connectivity. I tried to check the temperature with other thermometers (analog) and the difference was ± 0.5. It's worth it a thousand times. It needs a hub to work (I got the YTC4044GL which is a mini version and it rocks). You get immediate updates if the temperature rises or falls below the limits you set for food, medicine, etc. You will receive a notification on your phone as it works with their own cloud. Simply perfect.
