“I love bees because they are my job. My passion, my hobby, and my feelings...”. This rhyme expresses in the best way what honey and beekeeping mean to the Papadakis brothers from Theriso, Chania.

From a family of beekeepers, they have been involved with honey for as long as they can remember, with activity in the field passed down through generations for over 200 years. As a family, they have chosen to collect a unique type of honey, which is gathered at altitudes from 1800m to 2500m in the area of the White Mountains in Chania.

This honey comes from two types of thyme, white and red thyme, as well as from all the medicinal herbs of the White Mountains, which exceed the number of 60. Production does not stop with this type of honey; it continues during the month of September in the Chania region at lower altitudes, where heather thrives.
