This book, whose author is unknown, was originally written in the Russian language around the year 1853.
The original work was found on Mount Athos in 1884, at which time it was printed in the city of Kazan, located in the Ural Mountains. From this edition, only three or four copies remain in Europe, outside of Russia.
This masterpiece, as it has been described in Europe by theologians who have spiritually delved into it, speaks of an Orthodox Christian pilgrim who travels with the thirst to deepen his knowledge and application of the Apostle Paul's saying, "pray without ceasing."
