The Optex HX-40 wired motion sensor uses infrared detection with two pyroelectric elements for indoor and outdoor use. It covers up to 12 m, with an 85° detection angle and 94 coverage zones, while a special circuit automatically adjusts the sensitivity.

It is wall-mounted at a height of 2.5–3 m. A mounting bracket is included in the package.
