With the Tamron Tap-In Console For Canon, you will have more control over how the lenses in the SP series perform. You can update the firmware on selected Tamron lenses and adjust various lens functions to simply meet your needs. Additionally, the lens firmware can be updated by accessing a dedicated website while the lens is connected to the console at any time, anywhere.

Software Update

You can update the firmware of selected Tamron lenses using this utility program. Additionally, by using an internet connection and the utility software, you can access an exclusive website and easily confirm that the lens connected to the TAP-in Console—and the Console itself—have the most up-to-date firmware. If there is a newer version, the update is quick and secure.

Focusing adjustment

Focusing can be adjusted in three distance ranges: close, intermediate, and far range.

Adjustment of focusing distance limitation

For lenses equipped with a focus limiter switch, you can adjust the autofocus range by setting the near and far limits according to your preferences. If the focus limiter switch has three positions, setting the middle position is also possible. Only lens models equipped with the focus limiter function can be adjusted. Conditions and the range of possible adjustments may vary depending on the lens model.

VC Adjustment Only for Lenses with VC

You can choose the VC (Vibration Compensation) mode you prefer from the following options for any Tamron lens compatible with TAP-in Console equipped with the VC system. The options are: Prioritize viewfinder image stabilization, Standard, and Prioritize stabilization of captured images.

Full-time Manual Focus override adaptation

For any lens with Full-time Manual Focus override system, you can set the function to ON or OFF. Additionally, you can optimize the sensitivity of the focus ring according to your preferences in relation to its angular rotation between High and Low, when setting the Full-time Manual Focus override to ON.
