This one is problematic. I replaced 2 identical unused ones because we had network outages and the computers' speed would not go above 100. As soon as the cable that plugs in the front was moved a little, it disconnected. We changed cables with the same result. The cables were checked with a crimped plug directly on the cables and they worked perfectly, all of them (1g and without interruptions).
We bought 2 identical ones to replace them ...................result..............the same problems!!!!!!!!
In a previous job, we solved the problem with another brand.
Yesterday I took one as a test to check if it works properly so I could order about twenty for a job I took on............. Nothing has changed, the same "reliability" and expensive price........ exactly the same problems at a price of about 10 euros each.
In tests and measurements I made with a 1-meter cable, I found that from pin to pin there was continuity with almost zero resistance in all of them, but when tested with a network continuity tool, pins 7,8 (giga) were missing and sometimes also 6 (network loss).
I did not go further to take it apart to see if it has some other issue on some board maybe ..... or some other problem. It is simply problematic.
Find something else from another brand. Stay away from this product
from Legrand if you don't want trouble.
