The elastomeric acrylic waterproofing product Berling Acrylic Sealant PU Hybrid forms a seamless film for waterproofing rooftops. The water-based membrane contains acrylic and polyurethane resins and accommodates the surface’s expansion and contraction. It can be applied to concrete, cement screeds and roof tiles, as well as to joints and wooden, metal or cement-based surfaces, following suitable preparation.
Its solar reflectance of 82% contributes to the building’s thermal comfort. The film resists standing water, but not prolonged immersion, while its additives inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Apply with a brush or roller in two coats, crosswise: dilute the first coat with up to 10% water and the second with up to 5% water by volume. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next; when using reinforcement, apply one additional coat.
