To place the batteries, it opens from the top, meaning the lid is also the buttons with thin plastic. Be careful when opening.

Good in every way except for one thing: as soon as you try to replace the battery, you will curse like never before. It is "extremely difficult" to remove a "rechargeable" battery and simply hard to place a new one. The effort required is such that it makes you fear you might damage the mouse. What can I say now? That I didn't expect such an ergonomic mistake from a company like HP? Maybe they realized it and fixed it in the next models? (maybe it's also the responsibility of the manufacturers of the rechargeable batteries, which unfortunately - at least in my case - I found to be "slightly larger") I don't know, but every time I try to change the rechargeable battery, I have a ....nervous breakdown.
UPDATE: Shortly after two years, the wheel stopped working and started acting weird. I opened it to see if dust or something else was the issue but to no avail. Until now, however, it was very good and mainly convenient in hand and use.

Very high quality, immediate, correct size & weight and the dual mode is an absolute feature. I wouldn't spend money on a Bluetooth mouse without the option with a dongle. The only "negative" is its shape due to the small curve for the hand, without causing any harm.

The mouse is very mediocre, 6 months later the scroll wheel started to not respond correctly and the side buttons for forward and backward require you to press them with force in order to work.

I have been using it for 3 weeks and I am very satisfied. It responds very well and connected easily with the USB. What impresses me, though, is how lightweight and airy it is during scrolling, very soft indeed. Despite having a mousepad, it is incredibly comfortable to use and very light. It is great value for money for office work and browsing.

It's not bad, it just seems like it will break relatively soon... For its price, it's okay... The reason I bought it is to use it on 2 laptops... The placement of the button to switch it is not convenient at all... It's on the bottom... So, I don't recommend it for such use.

The review refers to the use as a Bluetooth mouse. It disconnects every 2-3 hours. It doesn't respond, you have to close it and reopen it for it to recover.

The installation tired me out on Windows 8.1. It kept throwing driver errors and didn't work. I had to redownload and reinstall the driver for it to connect. It was purchased as wireless, exclusively for BT use, so it wouldn't occupy a USB port that the receiver would need. If I knew its behavior, I wouldn't have bought it.

In terms of size, it is large, a bit wide, but size is a personal matter, how you hold it, whether you have large or small hands, etc. Personally, it fits well for me, but it could be better.

Update 29.06.2023: The mouse is acting up with the left button. You press it and it clicks 3-4 times. Let's go for another one.

Because I have two laptops, I wanted a mouse that I could connect to both simultaneously without having to plug and unplug the adapter. This specific one has an adapter that you plug into one laptop and connect it to the second one via Bluetooth. It has a switch with three positions at the bottom. One position gives signal to the adapter, another to the Bluetooth, and the third is off. It doesn't require installation when switching the switch. Now, as for its construction, I am satisfied. The buttons are not silent, but personally, it doesn't bother me. It fits well in my hand, so I believe it's worth buying.

It seems reliable during the 2 months that I have it and everything works smoothly and as it should. Some noise but tolerable, normal size, I don't know about the battery life yet.

Seamless operation, connects instantly via Bluetooth. Relatively bulky and I feel it's somewhat cheap in terms of construction
