The 1971 Project Helios is a strategy game based on a series that combines modern military tactics and close combat. Firearms and vehicles are scarce, conflicts and hostilities are endless, and the terrible freezing cold destroys friends and enemies in its path.

Eight characters must join forces for a common cause: to find a significant scientist who has been abducted by a mass dictatorship. Along the way, they will have to avoid the attacks of raiders, explore military headquarters, and infiltrate the territory of a dangerous religious sect.
