Description

Description

The TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in the field of video and image processing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with our motherboard specifications.

The T-Force Vulcan Z provides a speed of 3600MT/s, with CL18 and 8GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

The DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Specifically, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors, as well as the latest Intel processors, and AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

The XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory, without the need for manual settings. The (XMP/ EXPO) is easily enabled from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 RAM has (XMP 2.0) profiles with the following specifications:

  • Speed (XMP 2.0): 3600 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 2.0): 18-22-22-42
  • Voltage (XMP 2.0): 1.35V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the 32mm height of the memory, which is the ideal size to accommodate large processor coolers, helps keep the memories and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

  • Very good memory for the money. On an MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk with the 5600, I enabled XMP and it worked immediately at 3600.

  • As one would expect, it is as advertised. No problem with Plug n Play on MSI's z370 motherboard. It was selected from the QVL of the motherboard. The XMP profile worked perfectly with just one restart and passed the memtest. Used for 5 months for multimedia and gaming. Definitely a value for money memory

  • Very satisfied, they went straight to 3600mhz when I selected the XMP profile in the BIOS and did a Restart. So far, they perform excellently in 4K gaming.
