No or minimal shielding. As soon as it was connected to extend the cable of the PC speakers, a low but very annoying noise started, even though I deliberately placed it far from the power cables. I moved the subwoofer closer to the PC and with the original cable, which is theoretically worse than this one, the problem was solved. I will go for another one because this does not work for extending speaker cables on a PC!
