First of all, I have to say that it was not purchased as an extender. To be honest, I didn't even know it was a repeater and it never worked as a repeater. I couldn't find the classic model and I bought this one along with the remote power strip from the same company purely for the appearance and convenience they offer. The remote worked for 2 days and then died. This particular one "burned out" after 2 months of use. One day, I noticed that it had bent on the plug where I had connected it. I unplugged it and saw what is shown in the photos. It had melted.
