Armaggeddon Voltron Platinum 850W Black Full Modular. Purchased in 2019-2020 for a new PC. At first glance, it seemed like a quality build, thick metal unlike other power supplies where you can bend the outer metal with your hand, relatively heavy and with very good quality ports. Until early 2025, it worked normally without causing any problems whatsoever. From 2025 onwards, when you pressed the Power button on the computer, it made a tick sound and the computer would not turn on. I added Silica Gel packets inside the computer case (at the bottom, not at the top where the power supply is) believing that humidity was affecting it, and for about two months it worked just fine. After that, even this didn't work, so I tried an old 1000W Full Modular power supply from around 2005-2006-2007, without putting it inside the PC, just by connecting the cables from this PSU, and the computer worked fine, so the problem was caused by the PSU. I did some tests and measurements with this (Armageddon Voltron) and found that when it has power and the computer is off, if you turn off the PSU switch, press the PC power button while there is no power, you hear the tick, and then turn the PSU switch back on, the computer turns on and works normally. I believe that one or more capacitors must no longer be working and that's why it can't maintain stability during startup. I don't remember exactly how much I bought it for, but it was definitely cheap for its features. Fortunately, it didn't burn anything, but I wouldn't recommend it, it's better to get another one because in 3-4, at most 5 years, it will cause problems.
Armaggeddon Voltron Platinum 850W Black Full Modular. Αγοράστηκε το 2019-2020 για νέο PC. Εκ πρώτης όψεως φαινόταν ποιοτική κατασκευή, παχύ σίδερο σε αντίθεση με άλλα τροφοδοτικά που το εξωτερικό σίδερο τους το λυγίζεις με το χέρι, σχετικά βαρύ και πολύ καλής ποιότητας θύρες. Μέχρι τις αρχές του 2025 λειτουργούσε κανονικά χωρίς να δημιουργεί κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα. Από το 2025 και μετά όταν πατάς το κουμπί Power του υπολογιστή κάνει ένα τικ και δεν άναβε ο υπολογιστής. Πρόσθεσα φακελάκια Silica Gel μέσα στο κουτί του υπολογιστή (στο κάτω μέρος, όχι ψηλά που είναι το τροφοδοτικό) πιστεύοντας ότι το επηρεάζει η υγρασία και για δύο περίπου μήνες λειτουργούσε μια χαρά. Μετά ούτε αυτό λειτουργούσε, δοκίμασα ένα παλιό τροφοδοτικό 1000W Full Modular του 2005-2006-2007 περίπου χωρίς να το βάλω μέσα στο PC απλώς συνδέοντας τα καλώδια από αυτό το PSU και ο υπολογιστής λειτούργησε κανονικά άρα το πρόβλημα το δημιουργούσε το PSU. Έκανα κάποιες δοκιμές και μετρήσεις με αυτό (Armageddon Voltron) και βρήκα ότι όταν έχει ρεύμα και ο υπολογιστής είναι σβηστός, κλείνεις το διακόπτη του PSU, πατάς το κουμπί power του PC ενώ δεν έχει ρεύμα, ακούγεται το τικ και έπειτα ανοίγεις τον διακόπτη του PSU ο υπολογιστής ανοίγει και λειτουργεί κανονικά. Πιστεύω πως κάποιος ή κάποιοι πυκνωτές πρέπει να μην λειτουργούν πλέον και για αυτό να μην μπορεί να κρατήσει σταθερότητα κατά την εκκίνηση. Δεν θυμάμαι ακριβώς την τιμή που το αγόρασα αλλά σίγουρα ήταν ένα φθηνό για τα χαρακτηριστικά του. Δεν μου έκαψε τίποτα ευτυχώς αλλά δεν θα το πρότεινα, καλύτερα πάρετε κάποιο άλλο γιατί αυτό σε 3-4 το πολύ 5 χρόνια θα δημιουργήσει προβλήματα.
