I have been using them for storing clothes and lightweight items under the beds for 1 year now. I don't sit on them, I don't step on them, I pull them out, open the lid, take out whatever I need and put it back in place. So far, nothing has broken. It doesn't seal airtight (which I didn't want anyway, I want the clothes to have some air circulation). The lid is sufficient to prevent the clothes from getting dusty or covered in pet hair, but as others have mentioned, it simply rests on top of the box. It has two small protrusions that attach to the edges, but they barely hold it in place. Indeed, there are boxes made of thicker and sturdier plastic (e.g. some models from IKEA), but the main thing is for the box to fit comfortably and make the best use of the space. Ideally, try not to fill the entire height of the empty space under the bed/sofa with the box so that you don't catch your fingers.
In a similar box with fewer liters, I stored my camera equipment, which has some weight, but so far I haven't had any issues (although it's a box I don't use frequently).

Πράγματι υπάρχουν κούτες φτιαγμένες από πιο χοντρό και γερό πλαστικό (π.χ. κάποια μοντέλα του ΙΚΕΑ), αλλά το βασικο είναι να χωράει η κούτα άνετα και να έχετε την καλύτερη δυνατή εκμετάλλευση του χώρου. Ιδανικά προσπαθήστε να μην πιάνει η κούτα όλο το ύψος του κενού κάτω από το κρεβάτι/καναπέ ώστε να μη πιάσετε τα δάκτυλα σας.
Σε μια αντίστοιχη κούτα λιγότερων λίτρων φύλαξα τον εξοπλισμό της φωτογραφικής οου έχει αρκετό βάρος, αλλά μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχω κάποιο πρόβλημα (ωστόσο είναι μια κούτα που δε χρησιμοποιώ συχνά).

It came perfect. I found exactly the right dimensions for my closet, which doesn't have a bottom shelf and I wanted to be able to place things. And with so much space, all my winter clothes fit inside!
Τέλειο μου ήρθε. Βρήκα ακριβώς διαστάσεις για την ντουλάπα μου που δεν έχει κάτω ράφι και ήθελα να μπορώ να ακουμπάω πράγματα. Και με τόσο χώρο, χώρεσαν όλα τα χειμωνιάτικα μου μέσα!
Very good boxes. I have 12 in this size and 3 in the larger size (92 liters if I remember correctly). I use them for storing clothes.
Πολύ καλά κουτιά. Έχω 12 σε αυτό το μέγεθος και 3 στο μεγαλύτερο μέγεθος (92 λίτρα αν θυμάμαι καλά). Τα χρησιμοποιώ για αποθήκευση ρούχων.
4 pieces were broken, I was scared to detach them from each other for 5-6 times. If you consider that I received them in twenty days, everything else is fine....
