Duoderm Extra Thin 15x15 patches belong to the category Duoderm Convatec Patches.

They are sterile hydrostatic hydrocolloid dressings composed of:

  • An internal layer with hydrophilic polymer elements (polysaccharides) such as gelatin, pectin, and cellulose.
  • An external waterproof spongy polyurethane layer.

Indications:

  • Thin, adhesive, and semi-transparent.
  • Suitable for mild skin wounds and relatively dry ones.
  • Mainly suitable for the prevention of pressure ulcers.
  • Can also be used as a secondary dressing in combination with other dressings.

The hydrostatic elements interact with the wound fluids, creating a moist environment, forming a gel.
