The exhibition "Byzantium 330-1453" was the result of a collaboration between the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the Benaki Museum. It was hosted at Burlington House in London from October 25, 2008, to March 22, 2009.

This publication gathers the 13 introductory texts from the catalog translated into Greek and illustrated with the 400 objects from the exhibition. The texts, written by significant scholars of Byzantium, provide a contemporary approach to its art and culture.
