• Reduces the consistency of the paint, increases flow, and diminishes brush strokes.
• Can be used to make your own painting medium (thinner).
• Yellows significantly in dark conditions, but the yellowing largely disappears in daylight.
• Increases gloss and drying time.
• Increases the risk of cracking.
• Can be thinned with white spirit or turpentine.
