Purpose: A final varnish that provides uniform gloss and protection for paintings. Suitable for oil paints and acrylics.
Composition: Acrylic resin, white spirit (mineral spirits).
Features:
- Final varnish that does not yellow, dries in a few hours.
- Durable and more flexible than Picture Varnish glossy.
- Provides gloss; it is less glossy than Picture Varnish glossy.
- Delays the aging process of oil paints.
- Applied to oil paints once the paint layer has dried completely (6-12 months depending on the thickness of the paint layer).
- The gloss can be adjusted by mixing the varnish with Acrylic Varnish mat 115.
- Removes with mild solvents.
- Can be diluted with white spirit (mineral spirits) or turpentine.
Attention: Although the varnish is intended for acrylic paints, it can also be used on paintings with oil paints. The term “acrylic” refers to the type of resin contained in the varnish.
