The liberation from sorrow is not an end in itself for man, but one aims for it to create space within himself for the fruitful sorrow to dwell.
This blessed sorrow can become fertile ground, in which later will sprout the true joy of those who mourn "according to God and in Christ." This joy is what in the language of our Church Fathers is called "joyful mourning" or "joyful sorrow."
It is, therefore, repentance and the sense of man's distance from the specifications of his creation, from the life of the Triadic and eternal Love.
