Seachem substrates are suitable for aquariums with live plants, however, they can be used in any aquarium. These specific substrates do not affect the pH. It is recommended to rinse with plain water before use. There is a possibility that the aquarium may become cloudy from the substrate dust, but this will only last for a few hours.
