Description & Specifications

It is August 1959. In a working-class apartment in Bobigny, at the gates of Paris, two comic book creators are wiping their sweat. Not just because of the summer heat: the two friends are struggling to find an idea for a character. They must be ready for the first issue of Pilote, a new magazine for young people that will be published in three months. The writer's name is René Goscinny. His friend, the illustrator, is Albert Uderzo. They had considered adapting The Romance of Renard, but someone else thought of it before them. So, they search. But they find nothing... Until Goscinny has the idea for a little Gaul with a mustache. Bingo: Asterix is born. And, along with him, a remarkable success in publishing that doubles the phenomenon of society.
