Just as in other sciences, the science of Management evolves over time alongside the economy, technology, and society, shifting its focus from the machine to the worker, the consumer, and society, and from close monitoring to workforce development, knowledge management, talent management, collective entrepreneurship, and a shared destiny society.
Following this timeless evolution of Management, this book analyzes the core theories of organization and administration and the concepts of organizational design, organizational effectiveness, and organizational behavior and development. It serves as a fundamental handbook on management topics aimed primarily at students of Business Organization and Management, but it can also be a useful aid for those who need to understand the basic principles of management as it presents a series of innovations.
It introduces and analyzes modern forms of business organization, such as collective entrepreneurship and a society of shared destiny. Each chapter is structured to facilitate the reader's understanding and application of the concepts and theories of Management. For this purpose, it provides specific learning objectives and frameworks for clarifying the key concepts in each chapter, references, and examples from Greek, European, American, and Asian businesses, summaries for concise presentation, and questions and exercises for applying the concepts and theories of Management from each chapter.
