Trekking map for the Asterousia - Phaistos area in Crete, at a scale of 1:25,000. The Asterousia is a large mountain range south of the Messara plain in the Heraklion region. The landscapes are barren and wild, especially the side facing the Libyan Sea, which is carved by successive gorges.

Many of these are accessible and provide access to secluded beaches with beautiful waters. Notable features of the area include the numerous hermitages and chapels in caves and the large number of vultures and other birds of prey.
