Description

The story begins in the era of the Tyrants, when ambitious men and women used powerful computers to gain control over the heart of the Old Empire, including Earth. The tyrants transferred their brains into mobile mechanical bodies and created a new race, the immortal hybrid human-machines called cymeks. Subsequently, the computers of the cymeks' world - known as Omnius - took control from their rulers and a thousand-year harsh governance by the thinking machines began. However, their world faces destruction. Frustrated by the endless disobedience of humans and the constant machinations of the cymeks to reclaim their power, Omnius decided they were no longer needed. Only victory can save the human race from the exterminator.
