The HSK Standard Course has been developed under the supervision of Hanban, in collaboration with the Beijing Language and Culture University and Chinese Testing International (CTI). This educational material is based on HSK test texts and features a humorous style, familiar thematic circles, and scientific design. It fully corresponds to the HSK exam in terms of content and format, and represents a new type of educational books that combine teaching with examinations.

The series includes six levels corresponding to the HSK, with one volume for levels 1-3 and two volumes for levels 4-6, totaling nine volumes. Each volume contains a manual, a workbook, and a teacher's book, with a total of 27 books. The HSK Standard Course 4A workbook includes exercises for each of the 10 lessons in the manual, a model HSK level 4 test, and a Chinese-English introduction to the HSK level 4 exam.

This book can help students succeed in the HSK level 4 exam and improve their overall ability and proficiency in the Chinese language. The workbook is enriched with many photos that match the style of the exam. An MP3 CD is also included.
