With this book, we aim to provide adequate information to coaches and Physical Education teachers on how to organize their teams, both in defense and offense.
We also give guidance on how to plan their training and teaching concerning the technical-tactical behavior of basketball players at every stage of developmental ages.
Specifically, it analyzes:
- the collaborations of two (2) and three (3) athletes in defense and offense,
- team defense and offense in man-to-man,
- team defense and offense in zone,
- press defense and offense, both for man-to-man press and zone press,
- the development of fast breaks and the quick team transition to defense and offense,
- the special situations of the game and the guidance of the team.
All of the above are made understandable through the application of simple and complex exercises, aimed at learning and practicing the fundamental organized movements, both in defense and in offense.
Thus, coaches and Physical Education teachers will be able to leverage their athletes' skills and choose specific methods of organized behavior concerning space and time in both defense and offense.
Finally, there are many questions for all sections, which will assist students and graduates of Physical Education in their potential exams.
