Description

Description

The book "Introduction to Special Education" by Deborah Smith and Naomi Tyler is a systematic recording and description of a large number of disabilities and special educational needs that we may often hear about but are not sufficiently familiar with. A significant change has occurred in our country regarding how individuals with special needs are treated. This has led to the removal of stereotypical perceptions about what constitutes a disability and how the educational needs of a person with a disability are shaped.

In the 14 chapters of the book, fundamental issues of Special Education are approached in a contemporary, analytical, and targeted way. However, the distinct contribution of this manual focuses on the existence of chapters addressing issues for which there is insufficient literature. This work allows the reader to become acquainted with the new developments and innovations in the field of Special Education.

It is aimed at every professional and scholar involved in Special Education, general and special education teachers, parents who wish to better understand their children, and certainly students.
