Our little reader loved it from the first moment! Beautiful illustrations, small and simple text that invites children to participate by doing various things to not wake up the mischievous dragon. For me, it is ideal for children aged 1.5+ and it is worth being in a children's library.

As the wise people say, where you hear many cherries, hold a small basket. It is a completely poor and shallow tale.
I really don't know why everyone is so excited about it. Someone who wants to see their child progress by gaining even a little something from each tale would definitely not choose it. These "be quiet, don't wake up the dragon" and "turn the page slowly, don't wake up the dragon" and "stroke the dragon's scales" underestimate the intelligence of the child. But even if we assume that it is a tale intended to relax the child and make them fall asleep, how can it be explained that on the last pages it tells the child to get up and dance to the rhythm of the "neighborhood music"?
I bought it and immediately returned it for a refund.
There are far better fairy tales to choose from, don't bother! Take some time and go to a bookstore and choose something proper.

Πραγματικά δεν ξέρω γιατί έχουν ξετρελαθεί όλοι με αυτο. Κάποιος που θέλει να βλέπει το παιδί του να προοδεύει αποκομίζοντας έστω κάτι λίγο από κάθε παραμύθι σίγουρα δεν θα το επέλεγε. Αυτά τα "κάνε ησυχία μη ξυπνήσεις τον δράκο" και "γύρνα σιγά σιγά τη σελίδα μη ξυπνήσεις το δράκο" κ "χάιδεψε τα λέπια του δράκου" υποτιμούν τη νοημοσύνη του παιδιού. Ακόμα ομως κ αν υποθέσουμε ότι είναι ένα παραμύθι προκειμένου να χαλαρώσει το παιδί κ να κοιμηθεί, πως εξηγείται ότι στις τελευταίες σελίδες λέει στο παιδί να σηκωθεί κ να χορέψει στους ρυθμούς της "μουσικής των γειτόνων";
Το αγόρασα κ κατευθείαν έφυγε πίσω για επιστροφή.

the only book my son (21 months old) wants us to read every single day without fail. it caught his interest from the very first day. we make it as interactive as possible of course!!! and he has loved it!!! the only downside if you have such a young child is that the pages tear easily... so either cover it with a protective film first, or always have tape next to you

A very sweet and interactive fairy tale for children from two years old and up, which shows another, more tender image of dragons. Even they relax at night... And guess what... The texts are simple, just right for young ages, while the wonderful sketches occupy most of each page.
To tell the truth, what attracted me was the amazing cover... A huge, bright red dragon stretches across most of the front cover, with closed eyes and tightly holding his teddy bear. Behind him, a beautiful blue-petrol color depicts the night, while the stars in the sky are in silver foil and shine, a detail that gives it a sense of luxury!
There is no deep meaning or lesson coming from the text, and on one page the translation does not make sense in Greek. That’s why I didn’t get the other books in the same series.
However, it is very theatrical, interactive, fun and loved by little children, who pay more attention to the impressive sketches and the interaction.

Για να πω την αλήθεια, εμένα με τράβηξε το καταπληκτικό εξώφυλλο... Ένας τεράστιος, κατακόκκινος δράκος απλώνεται στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του εμπροσθόφυλλου, είναι με κλειστά μάτια και κρατάει σφιχτά το αρκουδάκι του. Πίσω του ένα ωραίο μπλε-πετρόλ χρώμα αποτυπώνει τη νύχτα, ενώ τα αστέρια του ουρανού είναι σε ασημοτυπία και λάμπουν, μία λεπτομέρεια που του δίνει αίσθηση πολυτέλειας!
Από το κείμενο δεν βγαίνει κάποιο βαθύ νόημα ή διδαχή και σε μία σελίδα του η μετάφραση δεν βγάζει νόημα στα ελληνικά. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που δεν πήρα και τα υπόλοιπα βιβλία της ίδιας σειράς.
Είναι όμως πολύ θεατρικό, διαδραστικό, διασκεδαστικό και αγαπητό από τα μικρά παιδάκια, που δίνουν μεγαλύτερη προσοχή στα εντυπωσιακά σκίτσα και την διάδραση.
Το "Μην ξυπνήσεις τον δράκο" είναι το κατάλληλο παραμύθι, για να διαβάσεις στα μικρά ζουζούνια, λίγο πριν τον ύπνο!
Το είχα πάρει για τα παιδάκια μου, όταν ήταν μικρούλια και κάποιες φορές το διαβάζουμε ακόμα και τώρα, που είναι σχεδόν έξι χρονών!

One of the child's favorite books, which is only 15 months old. We read it to him over and over again not so much for the story but for the interaction and the joy it brings. He participates in his own ways in our "theatrical play." It also helps him relax before sleep. The downside is that the pages tear very easily, so if it's for a baby, it's best to be nearby and read it together, having some tape handy.
Από τα αγαπημένα βιβλία του παιδιού, το οποίο είναι μόλις 15 μηνών. Του το διαβάζουμε ξανά και ξανά όχι τόσο για την ιστορία αλλά για τη διάδραση και τη χαρά που κάνει. Συμμετέχει και εκείνο με τους δικούς του τρόπους στο "θεατρικό παιχνίδι" μας. Βοηθά και στο να χαλαρώσει πριν από τον ύπνο. Αρνητικό το ότι οι σελίδες σκίζονται πολύ εύκολα, οπότε αν πρόκειται για μωρό καλό θα είναι να είστε από κοντά και να το διαβάζετε μαζί του, έχοντας και ένα σελοτέιπ εύκαιρο.
I got it for my 13-month-old child and he is crazy about it! I have him "hit" the drum that is in the illustration and many other things to make it more interactive for his age. So I think it will be perfect for even bigger kids!
εγώ το πήρα στο παιδί μου από 13 μηνών κ έχει τρελαθεί! τον βάζω να "χτυπάει" το τύμπανο που έχει στην εικοναγραφηση κ άλλα πολλά για να το κάνουμε πιο διαδραστικό και για την ηλικία του. οπότε θεωρώ ότι για ακόμα μεγαλύτερα παιδιά θα είναι τέλειο!
I bought it after reading the reviews, it's for ages 2-4, if I hadn't bought it I wouldn't have missed out on anything...
Update 01/07/2025: I'm coming back because in the long run my 7-year-old son has been thrilled... it's one of his favorites, he likes to look at the pictures, adds his own words, and ends up falling asleep with the dragon too.. so I recommend it!

Excellent book. Easy to read and with beautiful illustrations. If you are looking for something deep, don't get it. It is a simple fairy tale that keeps children's interest intact. Although it may not say much to an adult, children listen attentively to what it says and actively enter the fantasy world of the fairy tale. They live it. I think there should also be more "relaxed" fairy tales in our library. We search for deep meanings and moral lessons and forget that fairy tales are first and foremost entertainment for children. In the end, they are the main judges...
Εξαιρετικό βιβλίο. Ευκολοδιαβαστο και με πολύ όμορφη εικονογράφηση. Αν ψάχνετε για κάτι βαθυστόχαστο μην το πάρετε. Είναι ένα απλό παραμύθι το οποίο κρατά αμείωτο το ενδιαφέρον των παιδιών. Παρόλο που σε έναν ενήλικα μπορεί να μη λέει κάτι, τα παιδιά ακούν με προσοχή αυτά που γράφει και μπαίνουν ενεργά στον φανταστικό κόσμο του παραμυθιού. Το ζουν. Νομίζω ότι πρέπει και να υπάρχουν και πιο "χαλαρά" παραμύθια στην βιβλιοθήκη μας. Ψάχνουμε βαθιά νοήματα και νουθεσίες και ξεχνάμε ότι τα παραμύθια είναι για τα παιδιά πρώτα από όλα ψυχαγωγία. Στο τέλος, αυτοί είναι οι κύριοι κριτές...
I found the book quite pointless.. maybe it's not the genre of books I prefer. It's not a story or has any meaning.. it's not that kind of genre. It is interactive of course and children like it. My little one liked it but forgot about it quickly.

We have had it for 1 month, my little one is 2 years old and it is her favorite. Despite being interactive, she falls asleep almost immediately (and generally doesn't sleep easily).

Our little reader loved it from the first moment! Beautiful illustrations, small and simple text that invites children to participate by doing various things to not wake up the mischievous dragon. For me, it is ideal for children aged 1.5+ and it is worth being in a children's library.

As the wise people say, where you hear many cherries, hold a small basket. It is a completely poor and shallow tale.
I really don't know why everyone is so excited about it. Someone who wants to see their child progress by gaining even a little something from each tale would definitely not choose it. These "be quiet, don't wake up the dragon" and "turn the page slowly, don't wake up the dragon" and "stroke the dragon's scales" underestimate the intelligence of the child. But even if we assume that it is a tale intended to relax the child and make them fall asleep, how can it be explained that on the last pages it tells the child to get up and dance to the rhythm of the "neighborhood music"?
I bought it and immediately returned it for a refund.
There are far better fairy tales to choose from, don't bother! Take some time and go to a bookstore and choose something proper.

Πραγματικά δεν ξέρω γιατί έχουν ξετρελαθεί όλοι με αυτο. Κάποιος που θέλει να βλέπει το παιδί του να προοδεύει αποκομίζοντας έστω κάτι λίγο από κάθε παραμύθι σίγουρα δεν θα το επέλεγε. Αυτά τα "κάνε ησυχία μη ξυπνήσεις τον δράκο" και "γύρνα σιγά σιγά τη σελίδα μη ξυπνήσεις το δράκο" κ "χάιδεψε τα λέπια του δράκου" υποτιμούν τη νοημοσύνη του παιδιού. Ακόμα ομως κ αν υποθέσουμε ότι είναι ένα παραμύθι προκειμένου να χαλαρώσει το παιδί κ να κοιμηθεί, πως εξηγείται ότι στις τελευταίες σελίδες λέει στο παιδί να σηκωθεί κ να χορέψει στους ρυθμούς της "μουσικής των γειτόνων";
Το αγόρασα κ κατευθείαν έφυγε πίσω για επιστροφή.

the only book my son (21 months old) wants us to read every single day without fail. it caught his interest from the very first day. we make it as interactive as possible of course!!! and he has loved it!!! the only downside if you have such a young child is that the pages tear easily... so either cover it with a protective film first, or always have tape next to you

To tell the truth, what attracted me was the amazing cover... A huge, bright red dragon stretches across most of the front cover, with closed eyes and tightly holding his teddy bear. Behind him, a beautiful blue-petrol color depicts the night, while the stars in the sky are in silver foil and shine, a detail that gives it a sense of luxury!
There is no deep meaning or lesson coming from the text, and on one page the translation does not make sense in Greek. That’s why I didn’t get the other books in the same series.
However, it is very theatrical, interactive, fun and loved by little children, who pay more attention to the impressive sketches and the interaction.

Ένας τεράστιος, κατακόκκινος δράκος απλώνεται στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του εμπροσθόφυλλου, είναι με κλειστά μάτια και κρατάει σφιχτά το αρκουδάκι του. Πίσω του ένα ωραίο μπλε-πετρόλ χρώμα αποτυπώνει τη νύχτα, ενώ τα αστέρια του ουρανού είναι σε ασημοτυπία και λάμπουν, μία λεπτομέρεια που του δίνει αίσθηση πολυτέλειας!
Από το κείμενο δεν βγαίνει κάποιο βαθύ νόημα ή διδαχή και σε μία σελίδα του η μετάφραση δεν βγάζει νόημα στα ελληνικά. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που δεν πήρα και τα υπόλοιπα βιβλία της ίδιας σειράς.
Είναι όμως πολύ θεατρικό, διαδραστικό, διασκεδαστικό και αγαπητό από τα μικρά παιδάκια, που δίνουν μεγαλύτερη προσοχή στα εντυπωσιακά σκίτσα και την διάδραση.
Το "Μην ξυπνήσεις τον δράκο" είναι το κατάλληλο παραμύθι, για να διαβάσεις στα μικρά ζουζούνια, λίγο πριν τον ύπνο!
Το είχα πάρει για τα παιδάκια μου, όταν ήταν μικρούλια και κάποιες φορές το διαβάζουμε ακόμα και τώρα, που είναι σχεδόν έξι χρονών!

One of the child's favorite books, which is only 15 months old. We read it to him over and over again not so much for the story but for the interaction and the joy it brings. He participates in his own ways in our "theatrical play." It also helps him relax before sleep. The downside is that the pages tear very easily, so if it's for a baby, it's best to be nearby and read it together, having some tape handy.
Από τα αγαπημένα βιβλία του παιδιού, το οποίο είναι μόλις 15 μηνών. Του το διαβάζουμε ξανά και ξανά όχι τόσο για την ιστορία αλλά για τη διάδραση και τη χαρά που κάνει. Συμμετέχει και εκείνο με τους δικούς του τρόπους στο "θεατρικό παιχνίδι" μας. Βοηθά και στο να χαλαρώσει πριν από τον ύπνο. Αρνητικό το ότι οι σελίδες σκίζονται πολύ εύκολα, οπότε αν πρόκειται για μωρό καλό θα είναι να είστε από κοντά και να το διαβάζετε μαζί του, έχοντας και ένα σελοτέιπ εύκαιρο.
I got it for my 13-month-old child and he is crazy about it! I have him "hit" the drum that is in the illustration and many other things to make it more interactive for his age. So I think it will be perfect for even bigger kids!
εγώ το πήρα στο παιδί μου από 13 μηνών κ έχει τρελαθεί! τον βάζω να "χτυπάει" το τύμπανο που έχει στην εικοναγραφηση κ άλλα πολλά για να το κάνουμε πιο διαδραστικό και για την ηλικία του. οπότε θεωρώ ότι για ακόμα μεγαλύτερα παιδιά θα είναι τέλειο!
I bought it after reading the reviews, it's for ages 2-4, if I hadn't bought it I wouldn't have missed out on anything...
Update 01/07/2025: I'm coming back because in the long run my 7-year-old son has been thrilled... it's one of his favorites, he likes to look at the pictures, adds his own words, and ends up falling asleep with the dragon too.. so I recommend it!

Update 07/01/2025: επανέρχομαι διότι τελικά σε βάθος χρόνου ο γιος μου 7 ετών έχει ενθουσιαστεί... είναι από τα αγαπημένα του, του αρέσει να βλέπει τις εικόνες, προσθέτει κ δικά του λόγια και καταλήγει να αποκοιμιεται κ αυτός μαζί με τον δράκο.. οπότε το συνιστώ!

Excellent book. Easy to read and with beautiful illustrations. If you are looking for something deep, don't get it. It is a simple fairy tale that keeps children's interest intact. Although it may not say much to an adult, children listen attentively to what it says and actively enter the fantasy world of the fairy tale. They live it. I think there should also be more "relaxed" fairy tales in our library. We search for deep meanings and moral lessons and forget that fairy tales are first and foremost entertainment for children. In the end, they are the main judges...
Εξαιρετικό βιβλίο. Ευκολοδιαβαστο και με πολύ όμορφη εικονογράφηση. Αν ψάχνετε για κάτι βαθυστόχαστο μην το πάρετε. Είναι ένα απλό παραμύθι το οποίο κρατά αμείωτο το ενδιαφέρον των παιδιών. Παρόλο που σε έναν ενήλικα μπορεί να μη λέει κάτι, τα παιδιά ακούν με προσοχή αυτά που γράφει και μπαίνουν ενεργά στον φανταστικό κόσμο του παραμυθιού. Το ζουν. Νομίζω ότι πρέπει και να υπάρχουν και πιο "χαλαρά" παραμύθια στην βιβλιοθήκη μας. Ψάχνουμε βαθιά νοήματα και νουθεσίες και ξεχνάμε ότι τα παραμύθια είναι για τα παιδιά πρώτα από όλα ψυχαγωγία. Στο τέλος, αυτοί είναι οι κύριοι κριτές...
I found the book quite pointless.. maybe it's not the genre of books I prefer. It's not a story or has any meaning.. it's not that kind of genre. It is interactive of course and children like it. My little one liked it but forgot about it quickly.

We have had it for 1 month, my little one is 2 years old and it is her favorite. Despite being interactive, she falls asleep almost immediately (and generally doesn't sleep easily).
