So many years have passed since the outbreak of the Revolution of '21 and since the 3rd of September 1843, when the Bavarian occupying forces were expelled and a constitution was established. We shed a river of blood for our freedom.
During the years of the last war, we resurrected a new '21. We stood on the front line in the fight for culture. We fought until resurrection and victory. And we did not know freedom. Just as then, after '21, so now, the same dark forces use the same means to make us serfs.
And all of this happens - what hypocrisy - in the name of a false freedom. Beautiful words are easy; only actions matter. The answer to these self-proclaimed guardians of ours, whose love and concern are so deadly, is given to us by Makrygiannis.
