Written Exercises 3 constitute a fundamental supplement to the student’s book, Asterias 3, because besides processing the material of the book, they include rules, explanations, and exercises for reinforcing grammatical and syntactic phenomena of basic Greek Grammar, a summary of which is provided at the end of the Asterias 3 book.

The approach to Grammar is based on stimulating the student’s observation skills, who is asked to observe and investigate a grammatical phenomenon independently, classify it within the broader framework of the concise Grammar (at the end of the book), and reinforce it with various exercises.

Another point that has been given special emphasis in the exercises of Asterias 3 is Free Expression. In the fifteen units of Free Expression, the student is invited, through a variety of topics related to everyday life and contemporary issues, to express themselves orally and in writing on a subject.

The topics of Free Expression are related to the book’s material but also extend beyond it in terms of variety and vocabulary, which is enriched with new suggested words and expressions for use (Supplementary vocabulary).
