Description

«One of the greatest books of the [last] century» - Guardian

«In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart...»

A deeply moving and unforgettable portrait of an ordinary yet extraordinary teenage girl.

First published over sixty years ago, Anne Frank's diary has reached millions of young people around the world. In July 1942, thirteen-year-old Anne Frank and her family, fleeing from occupation, went into hiding in a warehouse in Amsterdam. For the next two years, Anne vividly describes in her diary the frustrations of living in cramped conditions, as well as her thoughts, feelings, and desires as she grows up. Her diary ends abruptly when, in August 1944, they are all betrayed.

Since its initial publication in 1947, The Diary of a Young Girl has been read by tens of millions of people, now reissued with a revised foreword, afterword, chronology, and glossary.
