The book "Greek for you B1" is part of the bilingual series for learning Modern Greek as a second/foreign language for teenagers and adults. This bilingual material facilitates classroom teaching while it can also be used for self-study.

The "Greek for you" series is aimed at:

• Students at universities abroad
• High school students
• Immigrants in Greece
• Greek immigrants returning to Greece, as well as Greeks of the second, third, etc. generation abroad

The material of the B1 book meets the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the requirements set by the Centre for the Greek Language for the certification of Greek Language B1 (Ellinomathia B1). Level B1 is the stage where knowledge acquired at the previous levels A1 & A2 is consolidated and can be confidently used by students to communicate in Greek.

The student becomes autonomous as they break free from the text, using the rich vocabulary they have acquired with greater ease and correct morphological structures. Various teaching strategies were combined in the design of this material, with the communicative strategy being the dominant one.
