Nonin 8000J Oximetry Sensor

Nonin Flex Sensor 8000J Multi-Use Oximetry Sensor. The Nonin Flex multi-use sensors combine the comfort and performance of single-use sensors with the cost-effectiveness of multi-use sensors. They are made of durable silicone and are held in place by special adhesive FlexiWraps®.

The hybrid sensor system is ideal for continuous monitoring and sleep studies. Available in sizes from neonates to adults:

• Pediatric sensor: For patients weighing 2 to 20 kg and comes with 25 FlexiWraps.
• Adult sensor 8000J: For patients ≥ 20 kg.
• Infant sensor 8008J: For patients weighing 2 to 20 kg.
• Neonate sensor 8001J: For patients ≤ 2 kg.

Accurate and reliable SpO2 measurements begin with PureLight® sensors. PureLight oximetry sensors produce a high-intensity spectrum of pure light, eliminating variations in measurements from patient to patient and from sensor to sensor. The red and infrared light sources (LEDs) are essential in the sensors of pulse oximeters.

• The red LED measures deoxygenated hemoglobin.
• The infrared LED measures oxygenated hemoglobin.

Common red LEDs typically produce a second emission spectrum (pollution), which affects the measurement of oxygenated hemoglobin. LED pollution impacts the calibration curve of the oximeter, at levels of oximetry, resulting in inaccurate measurements at levels below 80%.
