Techniques

The method of approach

We take the grafting branch or the grafting bud and the plant on which the grafting will be done, which is called the rootstock. On the stem of the graft and on the stem of the rootstock, we carve two flat surfaces, one on each. We bring the two surfaces into contact and tie them firmly together.

Then we cut the lower part of the graft and the upper part of the rootstock and let them grow into a normal unified plant. In all types of grafting, we must ensure to properly seal the wounds of the two plants to prevent microbes, water, and dust from entering, as this hinders the necessary functions for the union.

Eccentricity

In this way, we cut the stem of the rootstock horizontally and make a deep vertical slit on it. Inside this slit, we place a graft branch with a few buds on it. Then, we tie the cut part very tightly.

Grafting

From the branch - scion, we remove a bud along with a piece of bark and place it under the bark of the rootstock. Then we close the slit and tie it.
